Christopher focuses his practice in the area of international transportation regulatory law. He further is involved with compliance issues relating to the Automated Export System, which is controlled by the U.S. Census Bureau. He has experience in export compliance matters relating to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations within the State Department; the Export Administration Regulations under the Commerce Department; and the Office of Foreign Assets Control within the Treasury Department.
Christopher helps guide voluntary disclosures to relevant government entities and completes license applications for importation or exportation of items regulated by the State Department and the Commerce Department. He also assists in drafting compliance programs and standard operating procedures relating to companies involved with the export and import of defense articles, technical data, dual use items and other goods regulated by the departments of State, Commerce and Treasury, as well as issues relating to “deemed exports” and “re-export.”
