Carrie represents companies, lenders and individuals facing disputes within the lending, real estate development and construction industries.
Carrie has first-chaired trials relating to commercial and residential developments, condemnation, contract disputes and litigation defending public financing for large retail and hotel projects. She also has appeared before municipal bodies and zoning boards on a variety of zoning matters and pursued litigation when necessary to obtain judicial rulings against municipalities on behalf of her developer clients.
She has handled dozens of litigation, arbitration and loan workouts representing lenders in the enforcement of commercial loan and security agreements, including notes, guaranties and deeds of trust. These matters have included defending lender liability claims and pursuing prejudgment replevins, attachments and judicial and nonjudicial foreclosures. Carrie also consults clients on insolvency-related issues.
Carrie also has consulted with clients on issues relating to construction, commercial leases, title insurance, adverse possession, quiet title and boundary disputes. In addition, she has consulted with clients dealing with women owned (WBE) and minority owned (MBE) certifications.
Carrie is a member of the firm's Partner Board.
