Brandan represents clients in the defense and prosecution of cases involving product liability, transportation matters, complex commercial litigation, construction law, insurance law and personal injury. He has focused extensively on product liability cases involving fires and explosions as well as on toxic tort matters. Likewise, Brandan has worked with clients to guide them in product safety investigations, product recalls and in their reporting requirements to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
When major losses or accidents occur, Brandan advises clients during the investigative process – from the initial receipt of an incident through subsequent litigation and trial. He has supervised investigations involving natural gas and liquified petroleum (LP) gas, grain dust explosions, electrical fires, motor vehicle accidents, product failures and arson. Brandan has been involved in litigation in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings throughout the United States and Canada for large corporations, insurance companies, privately held companies and individuals. He has helped clients investigate potential product safety issues and also helped clients comply with the reporting requirements of the CPSC. Brandan has worked with clients in the research and development stages of LP gas products to counsel them on risk management and compliance issues. Brandan has defended clients in toxic tort matters that include claims of exposure to various chemicals. Brandan has represented clients in construction disputes and in lien matters and has also handled litigation involving insurance coverage disputes and has offered coverage opinions to his clients.
Brandan serves as outside general counsel to a major nonemergency medical transportation provider with offices nationwide. In this capacity, he counsels the client on contract, employment and risk-management issues.
Brandan served in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
