Angela concentrates her practice in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, assisting companies or business officers with response to government investigations and internal investigations, and general business litigation. She regularly serves as trial counsel defending individuals in complex federal and state white-collar criminal prosecutions, including claims of securities fraud, wire-fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, mortgage fraud and conspiracy. She also counsels public and private companies and acting officers and directors when they come under scrutiny by the Securities Exchange Commission, Federal Bureau of Investigation, or other regulatory/enforcement agencies and has negotiated resolution of related criminal and civil matters. She has designed and conducted internal investigations for private and public corporations in response to whistleblower allegations and has presented findings to senior officers, audit committees, and boards.
Her civil litigation practice has included a broad range of complex matters, including commercial real estate disputes, medical malpractice defense, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act issues, and general business litigation.
In 2009, Angela was selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and included in the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list which features outstanding young lawyers in these states.
